Tropical Aroid is an online plant store based in East Java, Indonesia. We specialize in rare tropical aroids including Monstera, Philodendron, Anthurium, and Scindapsus, and ship internationally to customers in the USA, Canada, Europe, and other countries.

  • You are legally permitted to import live plants into your country

  • The information you provide during checkout is accurate and complete

  • You understand that importing live plants may be subject to regulations in your country.

4.1 Plant Descriptions

We make every effort to accurately describe and photograph our plants. However, as living organisms, each plant is unique. Slight variations in leaf shape, size, color, and variegation are natural and expected. Product photos are representative of the plant or batch being sold.

4.2 Stock Availability

All plants are subject to availability. If a plant you ordered becomes unavailable after payment, we will contact you to offer a suitable alternative or a full refund.

4.3 Plant Health

All plants are inspected before shipping. We do not knowingly ship diseased or pest-affected plants. Plants are shipped bare root and cleaned before packing.

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Pricing

All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price you pay is the price shown at the time of checkout.

5.2 Payment

We accept payment via PayPal, credit card, and other methods listed at checkout. Payment must be completed in full before your order is processed and shipped.

5.3 Taxes and Duties

Prices shown do not include import duties, customs fees, or taxes charged by your country. These are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please check your local customs requirements before placing an order.

6. Shipping and Export

6.1 Shipping Destinations

We ship to the USA, Canada, Europe, and select other countries. Destination availability may change without notice.

6.2 Export Documentation

We prepare export documentation including phytosanitary certificates as required. However, it is the buyer's responsibility to obtain any import permits required by their country before placing an order.

6.3 Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination. Typical shipping costs are:

  • USA: $50 USD (air cargo or DHL Express)

  • Canada: $65 USD (DHL Express)

  • Europe: $65 USD (DHL Express)

6.4 Shipping Times

Most orders are shipped within 3–7 business days of payment. Transit time is typically 3–7 days depending on destination. We will provide a tracking number once your order ships.

6.5 Risk of Loss

Risk of loss and title for items purchased from tropicalaroid.com passes to you upon delivery to the carrier. We are not responsible for delays, damage, or loss caused by the shipping carrier, customs authorities, or events outside our control.

6.6 Import Restrictions

It is your responsibility to ensure that importing live plants is permitted in your country. We are not responsible for plants seized, destroyed, or delayed by customs. No refunds are issued for plants confiscated by customs authorities.

7. Live Arrival Guarantee

7.1 Guarantee Terms

We guarantee that your plants will arrive alive and in reasonable condition. If a plant arrives dead or with severe damage clearly caused by transit, you may be eligible for a replacement or store credit.

7.2 Claim Requirements

To make a claim under our live arrival guarantee, you must:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery

  • Provide clear photos of the plant and packaging

  • Retain all original packaging until the claim is resolved

7.3 Exclusions

The live arrival guarantee does not apply in the following situations:

  • Plants held or delayed by customs beyond 5 days

  • Delivery to an incorrect address provided by the buyer

  • Packages refused by the recipient

  • Damage caused by the buyer after delivery

  • Natural wilting or stress that resolves after acclimatization.

8. Returns and Refunds

8.1 No Returns for Live Plants

Due to the nature of live plants, we do not accept returns. Once plants have been delivered, they cannot be returned.

8.2 Refunds

Refunds or replacements may be issued in the following cases only:

  • Plant arrives dead with photographic evidence submitted within 24 hours of delivery

  • Wrong plant shipped

  • Order cancelled before shipment

8.3 Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days to your original payment method.

9. Order Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled before they are shipped. Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled. To cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible via email or WhatsApp.

10. Buyer Responsibilities

By placing an order, you confirm that you:

  • Understand and comply with your country's plant import laws

  • Have obtained any necessary import permits before placing your order

  • Accept that live plants require care and attention after delivery

  • Accept that we are not responsible for plant health issues caused by improper care after delivery.

All content on tropicalaroid.com, including text, photographs, product descriptions, and branding, is owned by Tropical Aroid. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tropical Aroid shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or products

  • Loss of profits or business

  • Plant health issues arising from improper care after delivery

  • Losses caused by customs delays, seizures, or import restrictions

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant order.
